Physics is a field of study which explores the principles of nature. It is an important academic field that provides the foundation for many applied sciences. The research subjects extend over a very wide range: from the most basic particles constituting matter (elementary particles), to atoms and molecules, liquids and solids which are composed of atoms and molecules, and the structure of the universe.

In the Department of Physics in the Faculty of Science, our small class sizes create close-knit groups. During the third year of undergraduate studies, we focus on dealing with physics problems using mathematics, then we move from classical to modern physics. At the same time, we provide a curriculum of basic physics experiments. In the fourth year of undergraduate studies, you will learn that many unresolved problems remain, and you will study one of those problems as graduation research.

The Department of Physics welcomes students who plan to pursue careers outside physics as well as those who will continue in physics after graduation.
