The research exchange online seminar (BioNIC: Bridge for the Next Industrial Biotechnology Collaboration Seminar) between Tomohisa Hasunuma's group (Kobe University; KU) and Lucília Domingues' Lab (the University of Minho, Braga, Portugal; MU) was held. This seminar was organized to further enhance and deepen the collaboration between the two research groups following the MU-KU Joint Seminar held at MU in July 2024.

This seminar was held in three sessions from November to March, with over 25 participants, including students and staff. This seminar aimed to enhance collaboration among students, with eight students from both research labs presenting and discussing their latest research findings.

This seminar allowed students who were unable to participate in the MU-KU Joint Seminar to engage as well, giving them the opportunity to explore the unique characteristics of cutting-edge research from both labs, and significantly contributing to fostering the seeds for future collaboration. Moving forward, it is expected that we will continue to hold such seminars and actively conduct visits to each other’s labs, establishing a stronger and more solid foundation for collaboration.
