On April 4, President Eva Martha Eckkrammer of Trier University called on President FUJISAWA Masato of Kobe University.
The meeting was attended by Professor Andreas Regelsberger and Professor Ronald Saladin from Trier University. From Kobe University, participants included Executive Vice President TAMAKI Hisashi, who also serves as director of the Institute for Promoting International Partnerships, MIZUHATA Minoru, professor at the Graduate School of Engineering and director of the Europe and Africa Division at the Institute for Promoting International Partnerships, MASUMOTO Hiroko, professor at the Graduate School of Humanities, and HANADA Eva, associate professor at the Institute for Promoting International Partnerships.
During the meeting, Eckkrammer expressed her gratitude for the longstanding partnership between Trier University and Kobe University. She also conveyed her hope to further strengthen the cooperation not only in the fields of humanities and social sciences and Japanese studies but also across a broader academic spectrum. In addition to student exchanges, she expressed interest in promoting cultural exchange through lectures and exhibitions.
Fujisawa introduced Kobe University’s educational and research initiatives, and the participants exchanged views on expanding academic exchange programs between the two universities.
It is hoped that this visit will further deepen exchanges between the two universities.
